Profile Data Residency solution extends both Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) and Workforce Identity
Dallas, TX, December 10, 2024 – At Gartner Identity Access Management Summit 2024, InCountry is introducing Profile Data Residency for Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. Profile data residency fully isolates user profiles within countries and helps IAM customers avoid regulatory barriers and the cost of cross-border data transfers.
Profile Data Residency enables a customer to run a single global Identity and Access Management solution and is simpler and more efficient than federating multiple orgs. InCountry is available globally and compliant in countries with complex regulatory environments including China, Saudi Arabia, and UAE.
The increasing rate of breaches has driven customers to move personally identifiable identity (PII) fields and other sensitive customer data into their identity solution. InCountry fully isolates sensitive data in its country of origin and anonymizes the data in the global identity system.
InCountry redacts and reinserts identity fields in registration, login, and profile forms. The solution is compatible with multi-factor authentication over email, SMS, and authenticators. For customer service and other apps for employees within a country, InCountry Profile Data Residency is fully compatible with existing identity APIs, including SCIM 2.0, IAM vendor APIs, and JWT tokens are augmented with local claims. Access to individual records and fields continues to be controlled by the Identity Access Management system and the source application’s policies.
Profile Data Residency is available with flexible deployment options to meet every enterprise requirement, including multi-tenant and single-tenant, as well as AWS Outposts and on-premises on any cloud for full data sovereignty.
