AgentCloak launches secure data cloaking skill for AI coding agents

San Francisco, California – July 02, 2026 – InCountry AgentCloak, the leading provider of AI data protection tools, today announced its Data Cloak Skill for coding agents at the AI Engineer World’s Fair.

As AI coding tools become central to modern software development, adding data protection to the new AI software development lifecycle has become a critical challenge to prevent data leaks and misuse. The Data Cloak Skill solves this problem by enabling developers to easily add data cloaking and uncloaking while working with popular AI coding tools.

Developers are increasingly using AI coding agents such as OpenCode, Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Grok Build to generate code with powerful AI models, often pulling large data sets that include sensitive data from and between existing systems. The Data Cloak Skill protects sensitive data by providing seamless, context-aware tokenization, hashing, and masking of sensitive data fields directly within AI coding environments. With AgentCloak’s Data Cloak Skill, developers can add zero trust data minimization and cross-border data support to agentic coding akin to the previous generation of secure software development lifecycle.

Key features of the Data Cloak Skill include:

  • Developer-friendly integration: direct integration with AI coding tools so developers can specify to cloak and uncloak sensitive data.
  • Compliance-first design: Built with enterprise security and privacy standards in mind, including SOC 1 & 2, ISO 27001, 27017, 27018, 27701 and PCI DSS.
  • Enables cross-border Sovereign AI: Helps global AI agents comply with regional and local data regulations including GDPR, Saudi Arabia’s PDPL, and China’s PIPL.
  • Contextual uncloaking: securely restores original values only when developer, identity, and compliance criteria are met.
  • Comprehensive audit logging: all cloaking and uncloaking operations are logged and can be emitted via OpenTelemetry for seamless integration with existing observability solutions.

Developers love the productivity gains from AI coding agents, but data security and cross-border concerns have held many teams back from full adoption,” said Peter Yared, CEO of InCountry AgentCloak. “Announcing the Data Cloak Skill here at the AI Engineer’s World Fair introduces the capability to use AI coding agents at scale while safeguarding the enterprise data they access and process.
